Troubleshooting the Nunchuk

 

 

 

    Nunchuk not responding

    • Make sure the game you are attempting to play uses the Nunchuk. Look for the icon below on the packing and read the game's instruction manual for more information. Please note that the Nunchuk is not used when navigating the Wii console's settings and menus.

    • Verify that the Nunchuk is properly connected to the Wii Remote. Click here for more information.

    Character moves on its own

  • This usually indicates that the Nunchuk needs to be recalibrated. If the game uses the Nunchuk for movement, unplug the Nunchuk and connect it again, making sure the control stick is not being pressed in any direction at the time you plug it in.

    • If recalibrating the Nunchuk did not work, then the Nunchuk will need to be repaired. Please click here for replacement options.
